For the uninitiated, let me get you up to speed. Captain America is a super soldier, who fought in WWII, was frozen in ice, and revived in modern times to lead the Avengers. Recently, he got the super soldier serum sucked out of him in a fight, because comics. This has left him a frail old man, but an old man with the skills and battle knowledge that he has acquired over the last half of century. Deadpool is another super soldier, of sorts, made stronger by the Weapon X program, the same one that bonded adamantium to Wolverine. He also breaks the fourth wall, a lot, and knows full well he is a comic book character. Now, on to this issue! [Read more…] about DEATH OF WOLVERINE Deadpool and Captain America – ADVENTURE!

X-Men Chronology: Paul Cornell’s first Wolverine run
When Paul Cornell returned to Marvel, it was with a pitch that would transform Wolverine’s life. With the benefit of hindsight, this series began an arc that would culminate in Wolverine’s death; and yet, when you read through interviews from the past few years, you don’t get the sense that this was always as inevitable as it now seems. Cornell’s aim was not to kill Wolverine, but rather to change his status quo; to introduce an element of ‘threat’ to Wolverine’s life that had always been missing. Amazing X-Men #12 Review! Just Misses Making The Arc Worth It
Now, we reach the end of Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost’s first arc on Amazing X-Men. Over the previous four issues, I have not been particularly impressed with this arc. It sets up some really cool things, but then seems to hold off on actually showing really cool scenes to build up suspense for the next issue. DEATH OF WOLVERINE #4 Review! “History” – (SPOILERS!)
First of all, this review contains MAJOR SPOILERS about this mini-series. I know that many of you might only read these reviews, maybe because you don’t collect Wolverine, or don’t read comics at all. But this event is pretty significant to all of the Marvel Universe, hell, it’s pretty damn significant to anyone and everyone who knows who Wolverine is. I will be very curious to see how the general media handles this, considering how previous beloved character deaths have made nationwide and international news, like Superman, Captain America, and Spider-Man. So again, please read on, but if you are waiting still to actually read the book, beware of SPOILERS. [Read more…] about DEATH OF WOLVERINE #4 Review! “History” – (SPOILERS!)
