The Trial of Jean Grey may not of been my favorite crossover, but my favorite part of that whole arc was that it gave us a new Cyclops book. For anyone who hasn’t checked this book out yet or doesn’t know this series, this is about the young time displaced Cyclops and not the present day revolutionary Cyclops. I’ve enjoyed the father and son feel that this book has had throughout the whole series. This may not be an all-ages book, but I feel it does have a rather mass appeal to everyone. All-New X-Men #31 Review! While the Adults are away the Children will play
After a couple of fun filler issues in All-New X-Men, we’re finally starting to get into our next big story arc. Bendis has been on a roll with these X-books and the last issue (#30) was one of my favorite so far. I feel like even though not much was happening, he was able to bring in some great character elements and expand more on the X-Men from the past being teenagers. Although this issue does begin the next arc, it also allowed for more of a transition between the last two issues than previous arcs have. [Read more…] about All-New X-Men #31 Review! Inhuman #3 Review! Yes, this book is still coming out
A book plagued by creative team changes and artist delays is finally getting into a groove. After Infinity, Marvel made a big push for Inhumanity and this Inhuman book coming out of that. Sadly with Matt Fraction dropping off the book late in the game, Inhuman was doomed to lose its traction. Even though Marvel did its best by sticking the first issue in the back of Amazing Spider-Man #1, I’m still afraid that this book may have lost more steam than it should have. Original Sin #7 Review! Setting up story arcs and not much more
The second to last issue of Marvel’s big summer crossover Original Sin has arrived. My only problem is that all it did was make me wish it was the last. Not because I hate the book or anything, but I just want some answers after three issues of questions. I guess Marvel did their job in making me want the answers though. Sadly the ride to get there hasn’t been as enjoyable as I expected after the first few issues. I just hope that this last issue has an interesting ending as well as setting up future stories. She-Hulk #7 Review! Honey I Shrunk the Superheroes
She-Hulk has been firing on all cylinders and this issue is no exception. This is a rather unique book and I’ll admit it’s not for everyone. Although some people may not like it, I like that Marvel is taking more chances on books like this. One of the main reasons that She-Hulk may turn you off is due to the fact that the book is more about She-Hulk’s life than her super heroing. It also has a unique art style instead of the classic no risks style. If you’re like me and you happen to like the unique writing and art, then this may be the book for you.
