Rocket Raccoon is hands down the most fun comic book you can find on the shelves today. The book stars Rocket Raccoon and Groot while perfectly capturing their friendship. It understands what it is and doesn’t take itself too seriously, like so many books out there. From front cover to back the book keeps a consistent tone which is distinctly different from any other Marvel book. The cohesiveness of the book is in part due to the fact that both the writing and art is done by Skottie Young. Guardians of the Galaxy Movie Review! The Best Marvel Movie Yet?
I had impossibly high expectations for Guardians of the Galaxy. Honestly, I don’t remember ever expecting a movie from Marvel Studios to be so good. With Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man I generally just hope the movie is great, and then I’m thrilled when it exceeds expectations (see: Iron Man 3, Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier), and not altogether depressed when it flounders (see: Iron Man 2). With Guardians, though? I just knew it would be great. This is a surefire way to assure you leave a movie theater disappointed, but amazingly Guardians actually exceeded my high expectations. Even with surprising characterization changes, and a wasted Thanos appearance, Guardians of the Galaxy is the funniest Marvel movie of all, and in my top three favorites. Cosmic Catch-Up: The Beginner’s Guide to Marvel Comics in Space

Star Lord Infiltrates The Best Selling Graphic Novels of 2014: Worth a Buy?
Earlier this year, Comic Book Herald was added to the Diamond Comics top sellers distribution list, which is a fancy way of saying I am super important (wait, why are you laughing?).
While this comic book sales insight has been fascinating (Wow, Marvel & DC really dominate market share, and Batman always wins), it’s rarely been as intriguing as a development from February 2014. The little-known Star-Lord: Annihilation Conquest mini series is a top 10 selling graphic novel for the month! Is this just Guardians of the Galaxy fever run wild, or is this trade worth your dollars?
