Continuing the recent trend of stealth-releasing chapters of Jonathan Hickman’s epic, this week’s Avengers has the added distinction of being the most speculated installment yet. Curiously featuring the repurposed cover to 2002’s Ultimates 1, there is actually very little interior content that could otherwise prepare the reader for what’s in store without ruining massive surprises. AVENGERS #40 Review: “A Song of Fish and Cats!”
Spoilers abound in this latest portion of Jonathan Hickman’s ramp-up to Secret Wars. Well, it’s not so much spoilers– plural- as it is a single one that informs all of the action within this oversized issue. It shouldn’t really possible. If you’re an aspiring writer it’s like declaring your intention to play in the show one day with Roger Clemens hurling steroid-infused meatballs straight past your flailing arms.
What a jerk. [Read more…] about Herald Guided Review: The Manhattan Projects Volume 1 by Jonathan Hickman & Nick Pitarra
