The Secret War Experience – Marvel’s First New Millenium War
Secret War is something of an anomaly in the Marvel Universe. The 5 issue mini-series is the first Marvel “war” of the 2000’s, yet it frequently falls outside the realm of the major Marvel events.
Aside from the part where the issues nearly steal their name verbatim from a much better known series in Marvel history, this really shouldn’t be the case. Secret War is one of the more compelling events in Marvel chronology and has far reaching implications, strongly affecting Civil War and Secret Invasion.

Man of Steel Post Party: Suggested Supes Reading & How Clark Kent Really Shaves
Here comes Man of Steel! I’m pumped for the film’s release and hoping Superman can put DC’s movie future back on track. There’s a lot riding on Clark Kent’s shoulders, but really it was silly to think the future of a Justice League movie might play out any other way. Putting my faith in Green Lantern just got me a headache and an anger management problem.

Monday Morning Comic Rack: New Arrested Development Meets Old Fantastic 4
Honestly I’m still a little astounded.
I would have been perfectly satisfied enjoying a brand new season of Arrested Development after 7 years off-air. I didn’t need a Tobias-led subplot featuring a Fantastic Four musical, the original 1994 Fantastic Four film, and a Lucia Von Bardas reference that may have shattered the comic book deep-cut meter.
But of course, delivering all of the above is what makes Arrested Development… fantastic. If you’re like me, though, all this Fantastic Four talk leaves a few unanswered questions.

Vacation!
The Comic Book Herald is going on vacation. Woot. While I’m gone there will be no new posts or updates to the site! Don’t panic; it’s just like every other month of Jupiter’s Legacy, except without the expectations or fanbase.
In other exciting news, this is post number 100 for Comic Book Herald. We did it! Thanks to all those who’ve commented or shared the blog with friends. I”ll be back in June with avengerance.
