The Omnibus is undoubtedly the holy grail of comic book collected editions. While your standard trade paperback usually contains 6 issues, an Omnibus will collect upwards of 30 issues, giving you full classic stories in one awesomely enormous collection. Factor in the fact that they sound like Jack Kirby’s idea of cosmic public transportation, and it’s hard not to fall in love with the Omnibus.
These enormous collections can often be hard to find, and more damningly, are rarely listed in chronological order. Thank heavens I’m here.
