The marvel summer event, Original Sin, is now completely finished. We finally get the answers that we’ve been waiting for, for all of the many questions we’ve been given. Actually, that isn’t entirely true. A couple of the larger questions posed within the series were left untouched. I definitely enjoyed this series from start to finish even with the slight dip it took in the middle of this arc. Luckily this issue was able to finish off the series on an upturn. I think that even if it wasn’t the most consistent read, it was a well done event series.
The writer of this issue and the rest of the series was Jason Aaron. It was drawn by the one and only Mike Deodato. The color artist was Frank Martin and the letterist was VC’s Chris Eliopoulos. The nice cover with watchers galore was Julian Totino Tedesco.
Original Sin #8: The Plot
Due to the nature of this issue, it will be hard to say much without spoilers. Therefore I will refrain from saying too much here. This issue is the finale of the Original Sin series. Picking up from last issue we see all of the members from last issue have their final face off on the moon. We also finally get answers to the major questions that Aaron has posed in the last couple issues.
Original Sin #8: Words and Art
Jason Aaron, who wrote this issue, did a good job concluding this story. He wraped up most of the plot points that had been dangling in front of us. The one problem that I’ve had throughout this series and in this issue is that Aaron never gave us much about the Villians in this series. Midas and Exterminatrax feel extremely under explored.
The artist here was Mike Deodato. He did a good job here with all of the intense action scenes. The other thing that I enjoyed in this issue was how he messed with the panels. Character designs were also another aspect that he did a good job on.
After reading the last three issues of this series this final issue was a sight for sore eyes. Although Aaron wasn’t able to achieve everything I had been hoping for here, he did a good job.
