As a founding Avenger, first female Avenger, and perennial best dressed Avenger, Janet Van Dyne, aka the Wasp, deserves a lot more recognition.

Janet Van Dyne hasn’t gotten her proper due as a founding Avenger, due to her absence from the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s adptation of the team. Believe it or not The Wasp was a founder, named the team, and served as leader of the Avengers from Avengers #217 to Avengers #278.
