Another week of Agents of SHIELD, another review where all I want to do is talk about The Flash. Over on the CW (Comics Winners), The Flash is featuring a new meta human (character with super powers) every week. Agents of SHIELD, on the other hand, has been notoriously cagey with powers, slow-playing reveals of Blizzard and Graviton (still M.I.A.) until leading season two with the Absorbing Man. So here’s this week’s theme: Can comic book TV survive like that? [Read more…] about Agents of SHIELD Episode 4 (S2): Can Marvel TV Survive Without Anything Super?
DC Comics Reading Order
Ever since I started Comic Book Herald the blog has been extensively Marvel Comics focused. This is largely because Marvel is my first love. I grew up on Spider-Man and X-Men animated cartoons, yet somehow NEVER saw Batman: The Animated Series until much later. Nonetheless, DC Comics have played an important role in developing my love of comic books, from Geoff John’s Green Lantern to Grant Morrison’s Batman

Agents of SHIELD Episode 3 Season Two Review! Aos Vs. The Flash Debut
I had a moment about midway through Agents of SHIELD episode 3 where I wondered if perhaps I’m too hard on Agents of SHIELD, if perhaps my expectations are too high. Agents of SHIELD Season 2 Ep 2 Review! Confident Second Season
The success of Agents of SHIELD season two so far (and so far I would absolutely consider it a success) can be summed up in one word: confidence. I wrote about this after episode one, but this is an Agents of SHIELD that knows what it wants to be. We’re done wandering aimlessly in a luxury airliner looking for freaks of the week. Agents of SHIELD is the now defunct peace-keeping force tasked with protecting a world that hates and fears them (more on that in 5 things I want to see), and ending the threat of HYDRA. Episode 2 continues right where we left off in episode 1, with Director Coulson and crew leading the hunt for Crusher Creel (the Absorbing Man) and the obelisk in his possession. What’s the Deal With Marvel Unlimited Gift Subscriptions Not Working?
To lead with 100% transparency, I nearly titled this post the far more incendiary “Marvel Unlimited Support is AWFUL” but that’s my emotion talking, and in reality that’s an extremely misleading title. I thought instead I’d take the (pseudo) high road and simply lead with the facts:
Marvel Unlimited support totally failed me on a gift subscription for my Dad.
It’s time we talked about that. [Read more…] about What’s the Deal With Marvel Unlimited Gift Subscriptions Not Working?
