While Young Justice features clear and deliberate ties to DC’s better known Teen Titans, the modern success of the Cartoon Network series has catapulted the team into a position of standalone recognition. As a result, there are three distinct eras of Young Justice comics that fans of the series can enjoy.
Below you’ll find a complete guide to the Young Justice comics throughout DC’s history. If your main familiarity with the team is through the animated series, then you may well want to begin with the tie-in comics listed in the second tier below.
The actual debut of Young Justice starts in the late 90’s, and is predictably tied to the DC Universe continuity of this time period. If the names Tim Drake and Bart Allen don’t mean much to you, or you have next to zero familiarity with The Death of Superman, this period of Young Justice will require some background reading.

Tony Young says
Are there Young justice stories prior to the cartoon adaptation series that remain uncollected. I don’t see the Secret Girlfrenzy on any list nor can I tell if there are missing stories ignored from Secret Files or the 80 page giant.
Malachi Risinger says
I would definitely recommend adding JLA: World Without Grown-Ups #1 and #2 (which are graphic novels and not single issues btw) before Young Justice Book 1 because it definitely plants a lot of seeds for the series. 😀

Since this article was published last year is there a more dated reading order?
