Frank Miller Comics Reading List!

November 16, 2018 by Dave Leave a Comment

Frank Miller is one of the biggest names in comics, as a writer/artist known for transforming the medium with work on superheroes like Daredevil and Batman. In addition to his comics work, Miller is famous for comics such as Sin City and 300, both of which were adapted as popular movies in the 2000’s.

Despite Miller’s less-than-respectable critical reception throughout the 2000’s, the author of The Dark Knight Returns and Daredevil: Born Again is still frequently considered one of the greatest comic book creators the medium has known.

Below you’ll find a complete guide to Miller’s collected comics works to date.

Comics have rarely seen such a discrepancy between expectations and reality, as Frank Miller and Jim Lee teamed up to deliver what still seems like a comic that should have been an all-timer. Instead, it’s an all time laughing stock (cue up the “I’m the goddamned Batman” memes”).

Frank Miller teams up with John Romita Jr and co-writer Brian Azarello with this prequel story. Chronologically, the story is clearly set before The Dark Knight Returns, but I’d strongly advise against reading it before the all-time great.
