I just bought Daredevil Visionaries. It’s issues 1-8, and the first page says “Daredevil in Guardian Devil.” Is it the same thing? And if so, should the next one be 9-15?

That’s correct. I believe 9-15 are collected here, in the Parts of a Hole trade.

I was having incredible difficulty finding this on MU. I then figured out it was much easier to just search for Kevin Smith. And for anybody else trying to find this, here is a direct link on Marvel (can be read with MU): http://marvel.com/comics/issue/15609/daredevil_1998_1

Just finished the “Guardian Devil” arc.

Wow. Totally blew me away. I’m not a big Kevin Smith fan, but this story was fantastic. Hit me right in the feels.

Dave, thanks for all your hard work on the site. Without your site, I don’t think I would actually be reading comics right now. It would have just been too confusing on where to start.

Thanks for helping me catch up on what I missed and enjoy comics again.

Hi, I’m a new comic book reader and was not sure what all to read for this section. What I found was:
    1. Daredevil, Vol. 1 (Marvel Masterworks)
    #1-11
    2. Daredevil: Battlin’ Jack Murdock
    #1-4
    3. Daredevil: Guardian Devil

Not really sure if this is correct or not so I’d appreciate some help.

That’s chronologically right, although Guardian Devil is a big jump in time from those first two. I have a pretty comprehensive Daredevil order that should help.

New reader as well. Been a bit of a mystery trying to find these runs as well but here is what I found: I’m using Marvel unlimited to read all this and I look by the dates Dave is posting along with the writers and the title to find these. Since MU does it by title and shows the date range of the run its easier to narrow down. I went to the only one that started in 1998. The description showed Bendis as a writer and the cover of the trade says The Man without fear all over the series. In the listing for it on MU it just says “Daredevil: 1998-2011”. Even if you’re not using MU to read them you can use it to find the right runs because the app is free and you can browse without even signing up.

      Hi Donny,

The issues after Guardian Devil can be found in the Parts of a Hole trade

From there you’re going to want to check out Brian Michael Bendis’ and Alex Maleev’s run, collected here.

      Hope that helps!

Im totally lost here, the man without fear is a 5 part miniseries, kevin smiths guardian devil is 8 parts which equals in total 13 episodes where does 15 come in and what does Bendis have to do with either of these runs?

I got confused too but look at the answer to my earlier comment, it has all the issues you need.

To make it simpler, for anyone clicking in here, the issues 1- 15 refered to on this site are daredevil vol 2 issues 1-15 if you want bendis run you look for vol 2 issues 16-19
