Buffy the Vampire Slayer Comic Book Reading Order
I’ll be the first to admit, I made a lot of false assumptions about Buffy the Vampire Slayer without ever having watched an episode. When my wife suggested we watch the series together, I scoffed. “The cheesy, campy… GIRLY CW show?!” I said, reverting into an uncouth caveman, and not noting for a moment the irony that this was coming from a guy who talks about the X-Men animated series like it’s Citizen Kane.
I was, and forever remain, a bonehead. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is brilliant, one of my all-time favorite TV show Universes, and the show that introduced me to a life long love of the creative mind of Joss Whedon.

Astro City is one of the best non-Big 2 superhero universes in comics. Writer Kurt Busiek has written some excellent stories for some of comics most well known figures, such as the Avengers and Justice League. Hellboy Reading Order: Where to Start With Hellboy Comics & BPRD
Hellboy’s great. I never expected to think that, but if you haven’t given Hellboy comics a shot, you’re missing out on one of the absolute best comic book universes out there.
I first heard of Hellboy through the 2000’s feature film with mightily low expectations. Yet behind the silly name, there was an excellent character, sharp humor, and clever action.
