This is my first foray into the Valiant universe of comics (if you don’t include a few issues of that Deathmate crossover from the 90’s, and you shouldn’t) and I have to commend them for getting top industry talent to put out some great work. I was completely unfamiliar with the Eternal Warrior character going into this mini-series, and I’m coming out of this issue a newly minted fan. X-Men Chronology: Duane Swierczynski’s CABLE
In 2008, the X-Men universe was turned upside-down. A child was born – the first mutant since M-Day, who would come to be known as Hope Summers. This birth kicked off the events of ‘Messiah CompleX’, and ultimately led to Cable travelling to the future with the baby. The idea was to keep her safe; but Marvel chose to ensure the story continued, and passed responsibility for the arc to experienced novelist Duance Swierczynski. Elektra #7 Review!
If you missed the first five issues of Elektra, issues 6 and 7 might not be the best jumping on point. Alex Sanchez takes over the art duties from Michael Del Mundo but I can’t say it’s a change for the better.
ThE LOGAN LEGACY #3 – Sabertooth
Whoa. I have read the other two issues of this run so far, (check out my review of #2), and I really haven’t been impressed. I get why this mini-series exists, to deal with the void that Wolverine left to his friends and foes connected to him, as well as to continue to sell books off of his recent death arc.
