The first volume of Eternals by Kieron Gillen and Essad Ribic is a revelation in a couple ways. For one, it manages to completely reorient the Eternals’ relationship with humanity by revealing that their signature immortality comes at the cost of human life, the very beings they believed they were intended to protect, a revelation which led the core cast of the series to cast their lot with the Eternals’ previously-sworn enemies, the Deviants. For another, it had us all going “hey, there’s an Eternals comic that’s actually good and fun?” for the first time in a long time (possibly ever). Emma Frost Reading Order!
Created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, Emma Frost was the White Queen of the Hellfire Club. She initially opposed the X-Men, but soon we started learning more about her and how much she cares about children. After that, Emma began to change sides and have a more friendly relationship with the X-Men and the New Mutants.
Emma is a deep character and she is often said to be one of the most interesting characters in the X-Men universe. She has been part of many acclaimed stories over time, like the New X-Men run by Grant Morrison, Generation X, and the now publishing Krakoan age that started with Hickman’s House of X & Powers of X.
