2024 marked a massive resurgence in excitement around superhero universes, with the launch of the Energon Universe, Marvel’s Ultimate 2niverse, and most impactfully, DC’s All-In era kicking off the Absolute Universe. After some fits and starts producing some excellent comics but not quite nailing the shared universe cohesion, DC flipped a switch with All-In, fully capturing the potential of their comics, and overtaking Marvel in direct market comic sales for the first time in decades.
Honestly, the Absolute Universe is so popular it often seems to drown out the fact that DC’s mainline All-In era is operating at a higher batting average than any Big 2 era since… the 2018 launch of Marvel Fresh Start? 2016’s DC Rebirth? It’s been a minute!
What’s especially cool about All-In – and the subsequent DC Next Level – is how purposefully the era centers its comics creators. DC has made real gains in the 2020s by emphasizing the creative minds and talents to love making comic books, and audiences are responding. Focus on supporting the best comic book creators as they tell great DC stories, and you’ll sell comics? Who could have guessed?!
Below, you’ll find a complete guide to the DC Comics of the “All-In” saga, placed in a reading order for easy trade reading. Let’s all hope DC stays hot, and enjoy the comics!
