AVENGERS #40 Review: “A Song of Fish and Cats!”
Spoilers abound in this latest portion of Jonathan Hickman’s ramp-up to Secret Wars. Well, it’s not so much spoilers– plural- as it is a single one that informs all of the action within this oversized issue. For those following since Hickman assumed control of the Avengers franchise back in late 2012, there is tremendous payoff regarding one of the major backbeats of the Illuminati-centric New Avengers portion of his story. Agent Carter S1 E3 Review: Slow Play the Miniseries
Agent Carter’s third episode was extremely understated, to the point of initial frustration. For an eight episode miniseries there sure wasn’t a lot of movement. X-Men Chronology: Kyle and Yost’s New X-Men
Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost are one of Marvel’s top teams. Their collaborations extend across media – in fact, the duo are due to write the third Thor movie, ‘Thor: Ragnarok’. Chris Yost is also credited with creating the character of X-23, who debuted on the animated series ‘X-Men: Evolution’. Marvel Chess Collection Review!
As much as I love the world of comic books, I haven’t been very into collectibles as an adult. This probably has more to do with complacency than any latent “toys are for kids!” feelings I may be harboring. I mean, I have a Mr. Crabs figure on my book shelf and my wife genuinely asks what toy I want any time she orders from the kids menu at a fast food joint.
