So it looks like these are all being published in 4 graphic novels, the first two already having been released. Here is a link to the first one:

As a follow-up, here is a link to the 2nd volume of this collected edition, which includes Black Panther #18-35. It also contains Deadpoop (1997) #44.
According to amazon, the 3rd (of 4) volume is due to be released on April 19, 2016. Volume 4 (which will complete the set) is due out on August 23, 2016.

Wow. Got Marvel Unlimited as I have an inquisitive child who is getting into the Marvel Universe and I wanted to be well positioned to tell him who's who and why they like this person and not that one. It would have been impossible (and far too overwhelming) to start without your guide.
Really enjoyed Inhumans and halfway through Black Panther now. I should be just about up to speed on everything by the time he leaves for college.

New reader, here. I'm a huge fan of the MCU, but have never once read a [Marvel] comic until I recently discovered Marvel Unlimited (tried $0.01 deal) and your site! I started with Inhumans per your guide, but almost skipped to Daredevil because I know absolutely nothing about Black Panther. I sure am glad I tried it though! After the seriousness of Inhumans, this Black Panther run is an incredible source of joy with its mix of humor, story, and action. After the first five issues, this series has its hooks deep into me.

Hello I was looking for black panther 1-49 in trade paperback form. Do they only have the client and enemy of the state as tpb and the rest would be single issues?
This only has a link the The Client, which only has issues 1-5, yet you said we have to read to 49. How can we get a hold of the rest of them? What are they called?
Marvel unlimited has the entire series.
Fun fact, as I went searching for this one online, it became obvious why this episode is not included on Marvel Unlimited (http://marvel.wikia.com/Black_Panther_Vol_3_22)

I'm just starting to follow up on this. Great stuff! This feels like a fantastic guide, thank you very much.
As sometimes I feel a little confused when it comes to volumes, issues, etc... Even though I understand the concepts, when it comes to finding the right ones you recommend I get a little lost.
For instance, here you seem to talk about "Black Panther - Vol 1. The Client"
But I seem to find that "The client" is from Vol 3 (which also runs between Nov 1998 – Nov 2002. Was that an error?
Just a suggestion for future reference which I think we will all appreciate, if you could include a link to Marvel's wiki of the particular comics we may be able to at least be able to judge if we're following correctly by help from the wiki or even the cover pictures. For example:

So I think the confusion stems from how the Marvel Wikia categorizes comic book series. The 'Volume 3' on the wikia indicates that this new number one issue ("Black Panther #1 from 1998") begins the start of the 3rd Black Panther series. It's the 3rd time the series has launched a new number one issue and started fresh.
"The Client" is still the first volume of this new Black Panther, and more specifically, is the first available trade paperback volume if you're looking to purchase: http://www.amazon.com/Black-Panther-Vol-The-Client/dp/0785107894/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1403579370&sr=8-1&keywords=black+panther+the+client

Yeah, I think I got that. It's just a tad confusing sometimes seeing how volume can be used to refer different things... But I think I'm following it right.
(I still think that a link to the marvel.wikia would be very useful but probably too much of a hassle for you haha :P)
I have to say though... I'm having second thoughts now. I kind of want to carry on with your guide, but I found myself hooked to Black Panther now! Will it get confusing if I continue reading his stories before catching up on other characters?

No, you're right, the series actually extends to issue #60.
I believe I originally cut it off at #49 because that marks the end of T'Challa and Ross's time in Wakanda. Sort of felt like the end of the story to me. I may need to give those final issues another shot, though.
That makes sense.Was wondering because I just finished the Inhumans and have access to the entire blank panther series and was wondering if it would be worth going all the way to the end.I think I will since there seems to be no reason not to.
